ABCya

ABCya is a teacher-created free website for kids. It includes computer games and some activities for enjoyable learning on the web. All games and activities are free. The intended audience is elementary students.

The author was an Integrated Technology Teacher. Before starting his teaching career, his work days had been spent in isolation developing media for print and the web.

I want to share a text with you which was written by the author of the site.
"I am a former school teacher who started ABCya.com in 2004 because I could not find FREE and nonviolent children's activities on the web for my classroom. ABCya.com is intended to provide free fun and educational games kids to use under the guidance of their parents and teachers."

On the homepage of the site, there is a search box for writing the term what you are looking for. As i mentioned before, there are some computer games* and activities* for elementary students. All of them were created or approved by certified school teachers and modeled from primary grade lessons and enhanced to provide an interactive way for children to learn. The homepage provides links to six main grade level categories: Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade. They includes: Letters, Numbers, More (shapes, social studies, art) and Holidays.

*Apple (iPhone,iPod,iPad apps), The New York Times, Disney Family Fun Magazine and Fox News have featured ABCya.com’s award-winning games and apps.
